SHANE
Head Route-Setter, Coach, Retail Manager

Shane, born in Hawaii, said he had to swim a lot to get to the states, but started climbing out west after arrival. He has been climbing and setting routes for almost four years now and attended the Sendfest part of the Mammut bouldering Championships in Salt Lake City in August '08. He recently competed in and placed at the top in the '09 Hound Ears competition too.

Boone is hailed as his favorite N.C. climbing area. A sport climber and boulderer at heart, we're happy to have him in the family. He's currently coaching the TRC Junior Climbing team and doing a great job, we might add.

MIKE
Programs Coordinator / Assistant Manager

Mike spent the first 18 years of his life growing up in western MA. Yeah, Yankee...we know. In 2006, he moved to North Carolina and never looked back (with the exception of missing Gillette Stadium and winning football teams). I "was compelled to climb because video games are boring and so is Guitar Hero". Big words for a small guy. Mike originally started working for the Triangle Rock Club during the formative months of construction and really started to push his climbing career while at TRC and around other talented and supportive climbers in the community. When he's not shredding fingertips, he balances between school and the social sphere.

Mike has signed on to help coordinate classes, programs, group sales, and the Triangle Rock Guides, the TRC's outdoor guiding service. If you're interested in parties, climbing instruction, a team building event, or all of the above, call or email Mike.

LEE
Marketing Coordinator

Lee is a self-proclaimed 'outdoors person' and has been since birth. He grew up camping and hiking with scouts, as well as playing soccer with his twin, Logan. Originally from Connecticut, Lee and his family moved to Greensboro, NC when he was 7, where he stayed until college. Then, it was time to leave the nest. Lee attened NC State University in Raleigh where he started climbing and hasn't stopped since.
Lee joined the TRC team to help spread the word about TRC. The rock climbing world is small, but growing everyday. Lee's helping TRC continue to grow with the sport and grow our climbing community in the triangle. If you want to go climb at Moore’s or be one of the many who spread the word about TRC, come find him at the gym or email him here.
SCOTT
Facilities

Scott was a part of the Eldorado Wall Company crew that built the TRC walls and has stayed on to manage the gym. In between building walls and managing the gym Scott somehow finds time to run, ride his bike and travel the globe. Scott has helped organize many climbing competitions on the local and national level. Scott has been climbing and working in the industry since the early 90's. High lights of his climbing career are Halet peak in Rock Mountain National Park, Mount Rainier, Hueco Tanks, Everest Basecamp and numerous spots on the Front Range.
When we found out that he ran ten ultramarathons (ranging from 50k to 70 miles) we knew he could keep Andrew out of trouble when Luis is out of town. If you want to know more about how to make your own wall in your garage give him a call.
